If Bonsai ever does decide to come to the New York area, and you don't insist on being in the city, consider the Inter-Media Arts Center (IMAC) in Huntington, Long Island. It is primarily a jazz venue, but with a fair number of folkish acts, too. Christine Lavin, Tom Paxton and Patty Larkin have all appeared there in the last few months. Before they went on hiatus, it was a regular stop for those notorious Bonsai imitators, the Roches.
