SHIPPING
OPTIONS:
|
|
Yellow Tail Records uses the US Postal Service for all
our shipping; they're reliable and reasonably priced.
Standard
"Media Mail" shipping is included in all our
prices.
For those of you in Washington State and some areas of
Oregon, "Media Mail" will only take a day or two. If you
live a little farther away, it'll take a little longer.
Orders sent to the East Coast, using the "Media Mail"
method, can take 8 - 10 days to reach you.
If
you would like your shipment delivered
faster,
you have a few other options. If you would like to
upgrade to Express Mail, please keep in mind that we
might not actually see your order until it's too late to
get to the post office that day. Also, there are certain
areas of the country where the Postal Service can't
guarantee overnight. We will do our best to notify you of
any delays.
Canadian
Customers:
For orders up to 16 ounces, basically 3 CDs or less, we
need to automatically
charge you an extra
$1.00
just to get to the "Economy Letter Post" rate, which is
Ground Service and can take, according to the Post
Office, 4-7 weeks. If you select the "Canadian Air Mail -
3 or less" option below, we will charge you a total of
$2.00
extra per order and upgrade you to Standard Airmail,
which should take between 4-7 days instead of weeks.
Lastly, if you order more than 3 CDs, and this includes
the box set, the automatic surcharge is $4.00 for
the slow ground but only
$5.00
for the 4-7 day airmail. For faster service to Canada,
the best thing to do is take a look at the usps.com rate
calculator and see what it'll cost for the method
desired. Then, let us know and we'll make every effort to
expedite your order.
The
following extra shipping prices are for North America
only. For other countries, please contact
us.

SECURITY
- ARE WE SECURE?
|
|
We were
planning to change the form submission policy to a secure
page, however, our research shows that in all of the
cases of stolen credit card numbers that have been
documented, none were obtained through Email
communications; they were all stolen from html pages on
"secure" sites. Technically, sending your credit card
information should be safe all the way to our mail box.
However, although it's unlikely and there is no record of
it ever happening, there is always a chance that the
information can be intercepted.
THEREFORE, we have set up our system to
ENCRYPT
your
credit card number before it's sent. Only those who
have the special key, and that would be us, can read your
number. In addition, your
credit card number is not stored anywhere on our
site.
For those of you who would prefer not to use this method,
we've made arrangements with PayPal,
the largest secure credit card processing company on the
web; feel free to use their services. If you would still
prefer not to send your credit card information this way,
please fill out everything EXCEPT the actual credit card
number. Then, call (206) 527-3546, and leave your name,
credit card number, and expiration date on the Yellow
Tail Message Machine. Only two people ever listen to that
machine and we think they're pretty
trustworthy!

SPONGE BOY
CD SINGLE

|
Sponge
Boy was only performed three times.
Right away, that tells you a lot about
this song! Sometime in 1987 or 1988,
Uncle Bonsai returned home to Seattle
to play three nights at The Backstage
in Ballard. It was at these shows that
we decided to teach the audience
"Sponge Boy." This particular recording
was made on the third, and final, night
of the homestand, and the group knew
that this song would probably never be
performed again. You see, as much as I
hate to admit it, Sponge Boy is not a
very good song.
Sponge Boy is a two and a half minute
song that, in the case of this
particular performance, took almost
seventeen minutes to teach and perform.
That the three of us would go up there
and spend 14 minutes on this song says
something very special...at least,
that's the way I'm going to look at
it!

Andrew Ratshin, April 16,
1999
