Okay, my last question for now!!!  I PROMISE!  Where did the bonus studio recordings on the BOYS WANT SEX IN THE MORNING CD come from?  Were they included on the original vinyl or are these bonus tracks to the CD.  And the 3rd uncredited recording, "Men and Women", I'm assuming was uncredited deliberately as a hidden EXTRA bonus?

Were these 3 recordings from the LONELY GRAIN sessions or was another studio album started?  And WHY was there never another studio release?  I know you guys didn't have a label and I'm assuming there was a cost issue, also the fact that your fans knew you so well from live performances.  But some of your songs would sound so much better with overdubs and additional instrumentation.  I LOVE the LONELY GRAIN album AND these 3 bonus studio recordings.  I would love to hear more and am very excited the new release will have a studio album WITH a live album!  But, are there anymore old studio recordings that haven't been released?

I hope I haven't overwhelmed everyone with so many questions!  I've been purchasing the albums in order, and look forward to hearing the 90's and 21st Century recordings of UB soon!  I will definitely be spreading the word about you guys and hopefully you will have more new fans join the fold!

Thanks alot for the many years of great music!

Your newest fan,

Kevin D. F. Highnight

Pre-Menstrual Syndrome was on the original cassette version of "Boys Want Sex in the Morning," but not on the LP version.  I think it was because there were more limits on the amount of music on an LP at that time.  I don't think it came from a particular recording session but was something they just did for fun. The studio version of Heartache was made for the KEZX album project and, I seem to recall, was actually the live version with other instruments and background vocals added in the studio.  The third bonus track, Men and Women was an alternate version of a song recorded for the Windham Hill release "Legacy."

I think that those three songs, and the songs from "A Lonely Grain Of Corn," are the only studio recordings the group ever did. (Although, in another thread, Andrew listed about a hundred songs that have never been recorded or released so maybe there's something there that will come out some day.)

WHILE ON THE TOPIC OF STUDIO RECORDINGS.....

On the Cooley's cd...a great listener friendly method of song order was used, with the introductions at the end of the previous song, allowing one to fast foward and just listen to music.
Why was this abandoned in the future , like on Apology.
